DMA 179 - red m&m + aliens?

In class exercise #2: Draw 6 sketches of objects that represent shapes found around you that are below your knee. I found a wheel (circle), outlet (rectangle), cardboard box (cube), soccer hackysack (sphere), and a guitar case (irregular shape?). ;D jazzed it up a bit in photoshop by inverting/cropping it. original image below.

In class exercise #3: Using water colour paints, illustrate the 3 objects (2 alien figurines and m&m candy dispenser). Then using photoshop, create 8/18 colour swatches for each painted object. All images below are upclose, cropped images from my painting. I wanted to show it this way beause you can see the texture and thought it looked pretty neat! =)

DMA 179 - Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids!

In class exercise: Create a rabbit using a drawing tool and paper in 10 minutes.

I had drawn a rabbit before this one, but I rushed it because I wasn't sure what we were going to do with this drawing. Since I had time left in the 10 mins, I decided to take the time to draw another rabbit but this time with a little more effort. This is the result. Turns out that we could have sculpted the rabbit using the paper itself and stabbed it with the drawing utensil to create this rabbit. Sneaky!
